Old City Philadelphia is the home of the Constitution, Chester and Montgomery Counties are the sites of Revolutionary battlefields and the famed Valley Forge, the Main Line home to some of the grandest mansions of wealthy industrialists.
Among these sites are some of the best neighborhoods in the country. Whether it's a old Victorian in Wayne or a new colonial in West Chester, the Philadelphia region has every type of home.
The region also boasts some of the best schools in the country. Radnor, Lower Merion and Tredyfrin-Eastown are just a few of the excellent public schools providing children with a top-notch education. In addition, private and parochial schools add to the Philadelphia region's education reputation.
Philadelphia and its Western suburbs puts its residents within close distance to many attractions. Many choose regional train, SEPTA's R-5 that runs through Downingtown, Malvern, Paoli, Berwyn, Devon, Strafford, Wayne, St. David's, Radnor, Villanova, Rosemont, Bryn Mawr, Merion and Gladwyne. The Philadelphia International Airport, the famed King of Prussia Mall, and Center City Philadelphia are all within a 20-40 minute drive from most of Philadelphia's Western Suburbs. In addition, New York City and Washington, D.C. can be reached by train or car in about two hours.
